A couple weeks ago, I felt a strong nudge from God to post on my son’s public school Facebook page, asking if any parents wanted to get together to pray.
Guys, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous! I was expecting the worst response. But to my surprise and to GOD’s credit, the response was overwhelming!! SO many people wanted to get together. From a public school forum, I was shocked.
As Christians in this culture, we are told to yank our kids from these places. And while we have to have discretion in each of our circumstances, it’s not always wrong to stay where we are. In fact, I believe we have an incredible opportunity to see the move of God in a place you wouldn’t expect it. Isn’t that His specialty?
That’s what I’m expecting! And that’s what the parents I met with, for our FIRST prayer meeting, are expecting, too! (yup, we're going to do it again and I am so pumped!)
If you want to do this too, grab my "Praying Parents" Printable at www.beckibaxter.com/prayingparents - It’s totally free to download! It’s full of scriptures to pray over your kids, their school and teachers.
Then, grab some friends, make some coffee, and just pray! Pray like our little ones depend on it. Because they do.
Wise, mothers praying together for you children and schools. I remember years ago being part of different moms in prayer groups over the years. We'd meet weekly for an hour, followed the format online. Power in praying as ONE. Each semester I'd leave notes in the teachers' boxes, letting them know we were praying, and if they needed anything to contact us.
He is faithful. Now daughters are grown and married. Each has their occupation, and babies are arriving.
